27 weeks-contractions,spicy food,fainting?
I'm 27 weeks pregnant today.lately I have been having contractions.around eight in an hour.my doctor told me to go to the hisptial if it happens.there's no discharge stuff.no water breaking or anything like that though.I went to the hospital for it once already.they hooked me up to a mechine and watched me.then they gave me a shot to stop the contractions.they told me if they couldn't stop them.that they were just going to send me home with them.the hospital gave me a three hundred dollar bill for this.I know if I go up there again for it that they will just do the same thing again.I'm having contractions everyday but not eight everyhour.last night I have ten in one houe though.I called my doctor this morning and they told me to go in.but I didn't because I knew what they were going to do.I was wondering if spicy and salty food can make me have contractions.also I have been fainting a few times.

Question about spicy food and pica?
I'm 27 weeks pregnant and can't stop eating spicy food. I put hot sauce on everything and have even been known to just put it on my fingers top lick off. It is actually causing me physical pain, heartburn, nausea, diarrhea... But I just can't stop eating it. Could this be a form of pica or just a really strong craving?
Atleast you understand where I'm coming from. I LOVE SPICY FOOD and HOT SAUCE is my favorite. It causes me heartburn and diarrhea also but it's well worth it - it's not harming the baby and that's all that matters. Use it in moderation. Mmmmmm hot sauce. Good luck mommy!
Pregnant and had a urine test. Came back positive for THC but I don't smoke?
I am 27 weeks pregnant. I went to the ER a few hours ago and they said my urine came back positive for marijauna. I haven't smoked it! In the last month I've taken Zofran, Unisom, Tylenol PM, Tylenol. Could any of these make it make it appear that I have smoked it? What else can (non-medication)? I've had a lot of spicy foods lately. I've also had rice, milk, cereal a lot. I'm slightly anemic.
I've barely been out of my house in 12 days. Only been out for maybe 5 hours all together.
My dad is now convinced that I smoke pot.
I was in a car 10 days ago that smelled like pot..
I was around the smell of it once but no, not when anyone was actually smoking it
No, I haven't had poppy seeds.
The only medications that I know can cause a false positive for marijuana is anti-inflammatory meds such as ibuprofen (motrin/advil), and naproxen (alieve)... But you can't take those while pregnant anyway. I don't know of any foods that can cause false positive for marijuana, do you know anyone who smokes? Could they have smoked around you without you knowing, or cooked food with weed in it? Being in a pot-smelling car wouldn't cause you to get a positive drug test unless someone was in there smoking. Add: I don't know who gave you a thumb's down - but poppy seeds can cause false positive for opiates (such as morphine and oxycodone), not marijuana. Please educate YOURself. -No, that is false. Poppy seeds do not cause false positive for tetrahydrocannabinol. They only show false positive for opiates (substances derived from opium, which is in fact derived from the poppy plant).. Some opiates are made synthetically, but are chemically similar to the opiates which come from the poppy plant. Please read the website on your own link.
Pregnant with Sharp pains in stomach and chest after eating?
I finished eating about 2 hours ago ~ mexican food (it wasn't spicy) I had chips, salsa and fajitas.I did not stuff myself but afterward I started to have sharp pains in my stomach and up into the center of my chest... I could barely turn drive home and had a hard time getting out of the car. I laid down when I got in the house and it has eased up a bit but I still can't move very well without it hurting. It also seems to hurt more when the baby moves...
Here is some background info:
I am 27 weeks pregnant but look about 32 weeks because I'm VERY petite, I also have severe abdominal separation from my first 2 pregnancies..
Should I be worried or do you think it could just be gas bubbles?? What would you do?
Thanks!
I was having similar problems but I was having issues breathing as well. My doctor told me that it is probably just the baby "stretching out". I thought it was partially heartburn and something else. I would say if it worries you, call your doctor. I think it is better to get some reassurance.
