36 weeks, can't decided what to do?
So I know this is really random, but I'm 36 weeks and I don't know what I want for lunch. I thought maybe you ladies could help me out lol. I'm not specifically craving anything. I don't really like spicy food, I have money so if it's a little expensive that's fine. What are you ladies getting or wanting for lunch? Thanks guys :)

I'm eating chicken tacos with rice and beans. Of course, I can't skip out on the sour cream so I will have a ton of it mixed in with all of my food.

36 weeks pregnant and tummy upset?
Im 36 weeks pregnant and have been up all night with an upset tummy both diarrhea and vomiting, very quick on set of hot and cold flushes, dizziness and nausea. then woke up today feeling fine. i ate chinese from a new place but its a well known and well liked restaurant in my area. im wondering if i have food poisoning, just a tummy upset or if its due to pregnancy. i eat the same dish of chinese where ever i go im used to spicy foods and ive never had an upset tummy from chinese before. my friends also ate the food and didn't get sick what could this be?

I have been contracting for 3 days and am 36 weeks preg, is the end near?
I went to the hospital with consistent contractions 1 1/2 min apart. I am 2cm dilated and after monitoring me for 5hrs they sent me home and told me to come back when contractions are worse! I have now had contractions for 3 days now, I have tried walking, nipple stimulation, sex, Castor oil, and spicy foods. Can someone help me?

Prodromal Labor Contractions Often in the past prodromal labor has been given called 'false labor', yet every woman experiencing it has said in frustration "There's nothing false about what I'm feeling!" * Prodromal labor can feel very much like active labor, yet is not consistently progressive * Prodromal labor contractions may begin hours or even days before active labor * They may feel like Braxton Hicks contractions or they may be quite a bit stronger * They are irregular in length, frequency and intensity * They may or may not be affected by your activity * Cervix - Your cervix may begin to dilate, you may lose your mucous plug You have probably heard of friends or family members who have gone to the hospital only to be sent home again. This can make a woman who is waiting for childbirth, very agitated especially if they are past their expected due date. Before heading to the hospital, call your physician or midwife to discuss your labor symptoms. It is common for first time mothers to make more than one trip to the hospital. If you are in early labor and sent home, the following activities may be helpful: go to the mall or a museum, hit the beach, catch a movie, go for a walk, take a shower, rest, drink plenty of fluids, listening to music, etc. If your waters break or you lose your mucous plug, call your physician or midwife to discuss your labor symptoms. * Prodromal labor can feel very much like active labor, yet is not consistently progressive * Prodromal labor contractions may begin hours or even days before active labor * They may feel like Braxton Hicks contractions or they may be quite a bit stronger * They are usually irregular in length, frequency and intensity * The main thing to look out for is frequency and if they are getting stronger as the time goes on * If so, then you may just be seeing a baby soon * If not, have faith that you WILL give birth sooner or later * They may or may not be affected by your activity Let your body do it's job and try to distract yourself with a movie, go for a walk, take a shower, rest, drink plenty of fluids, listen to music or something else that will keep your mind off things. Good luck

I'm 36 weeks pregnant and contracting... help?
I was wondering what I can do to get the ball rolling.I am 36 weeks pregnant and I am dialated only to 1 cm and at plus 2. I believe baby has dropped more from what I can SEE. The contractions however are really bothering me and I can barely get good sleep anymore. I've tried sex and walking and spicy foods... I don't want to try anything medicinal but I'm just miserable. Is there anything I can do to make labor come on? Or at least help me progress some more. This is baby number three for me and I have never been so miserable in pregnancy. The gestations of my other children was 32 weeks (due to pre-e) and 38 weeks. I am measuring at 45 cm at my last visit which was last Thursday and the dr. says that if by this thrusday I have not progressed he is going to strip my membranes. baby is getting too big. We've already tested for polyhydramnios and all and it's just a big baby in there. I'd really rather not have a strip done- I hear it's painful. Thanks for all the answers!! :) To those preeching about pre-term delivery (some of you have mentioned it but have not preeched about it- if you believe you haven't preeched then this doesn't apply to you). I figure if i do something in the next few days to onset labor or add some progress the dr. will not have to strip my membranes which will most definitely bring on labor. If I make progress he will not do it- if there is no progress he will. My point here is I'd like this to happen naturally and regardless of weather I do something to help some progress along or he strips- baby is coming. Dr. said he will induce me at 38 weeks if I have not delivered yet. So as "selfish" as I may come off, I am doing my best to avoid medical intervention here. But I shouldn't have to justify myself in that aspect and I should think you wouldn't have to judge. My dr. told me to try having sex, nipple stimulation, and lots of walking. I have tried and have failed... so i was looking for other ways. But thank you.

No matter what you read here, do not take anything orally or put anything into your body. The baby will come when ready. Trust me, I've been there. 3rd pregnancy I gained 68 pounds (baby weighed 9), I was absolutely miserable- couldn't walk 50 feet without sharp pains, stayed dilated 3 cm my whole last month, and went 2 weeks over to boot. I'm telling you, walking is the best and only truly safe thing, but it still will not matter, if baby is not ready. I know you are uncomfortable, I remember it well. Hang in there, and just remember, it will be all worth the misery in the end.
